DANNY WILSON and Clint Hill started together for the third successive game against Aberdeen last weekend and I think they will be the centre-backs for the visit of Partick Thistle on Saturday.

Rob Kiernan and Philippe Senderos played in the Development League fixture with Hibernian in midweek and both will be vying for a place in the side at Ibrox.

But you can’t keep chopping and changing things at the back and I think Mark will stick with Wilson and Hill and give them another go together.

The first goal against Aberdeen was an absolute joke but, overall, I didn’t think the two of them played that badly at Pittodrie. Every mistake they make they are being punished for right now, though.

It was a long punt from the keeper, Danny is beaten to the ball, James Tavernier loses his man and the strike from Jonny Hayes goes through Wes Foderingham’s legs. It was a really poor goal to concede.

There were times in the second half that they got muddled up a bit but I didn’t think they played that badly. They won a few balls in the box and Aberdeen didn’t have that many chances in the game.

Maybe Mark will think that he has given Wilson and Hill a chance so now he should give Kiernan and Senderos a chance to come into the team and he might make a few changes.

I don’t think he knows what his best eleven is, or what his best four at the back are.

For me, I would go with the same two again. I don’t expect Thistle to be throwing men forward so they shouldn’t have a lot to do.

If Wilson and Hill do get the nod then it is another chance to stake their claim to keep the jerseys in the long run.
