I suspect that over the past month or so that Stuart Armstrong has become the first pick to play alongside Scott Brown in the middle of the park for Celtic.

The lad’s energy and work-rate make him noticeable but he has also taken on board some of the advice that has been given to him by the manager.

He is clearly comfortable in that central berth – although I also thought he was outstanding as a right-back against Inverness a few weeks ago when he had to deputise in there because of injuries.

But I have been impressed with how he has got himself back into the team – and what he has done on getting back in.

Leigh Griffiths is also back in contention this weekend and I think you have seen that he has been missed when he has been out. He has not been starting games because of the form Moussa Dembele has been in, but what Celtic have missed is being able to bring him into games.

I am sure he will desperate to make his mark at Hampden on Sunday.
