PARTICK THISTLE have completed the signing of defender Niall Keown on loan from Reading for the rest of the season.
The centre-back, son of Arsenal legend Martin Keown, has been training with the Jags since joining them on their winter training break to La Manga.
Keown's arrival was confirmed with a club statement on Tuesday afternoon and he becomes Alan Archibald's second recruit of the winter transfer window after the signing of goalkeeper Mark Ridgers.
"The January dealings continue today as the club can confirm that central defender, Niall Keown, has joined the club on loan from Reading until the end of the season, subject to international clearance," read the statement.
"Niall, 21, joined Reading’s academy in 2011 signing a new three year contract in 2015 having played twice for the Royals and has made two appearances for Republic of Ireland U21s.
"All at Firhill welcome Niall to the club and look forward to watching him in action between now and the end of the season."
