MOTHERWELL have confirmed the signing of young Everton goalkeeper Russell Griffiths on loan for the rest of the season.
The 20-year-old spent the first half of the campaign on loan at English League Two outfit Cheltenham Town, making 29 appearances.
The England Under-20 international will compete with Craig Samson for a first team spot at Fir Park and joins Mark McGhee's ranks a day after the arrival of midfielder Elliott Frear from Forest Green was confirmed.
A product of the Toffees youth system, Griffiths has also had temporary spells with Northwich Victoria, Colwyn and Halifax Town since the start of last season.
The Steelmen also announced on Friday that goalkeeper Dean Brill has left the club in search of first team opportunities.
Brill joined 'Well from Inverness Caledonian Thistle last summer but failed to make a single appearance at Fir Park.
