FORMER Valencia boss Pako Ayestaran says he is happy to be linked with the managerial vacancy at Rangers.
The 54-year-old is currently a 25/1 outsider to replace Mark Warburton as the next permanent Light Blues manager after being sacked by the Spanish outfit in September with the club bottom of La Liga.
Ayestaran previously spent 11 years as an assistant to Rafa Benitez at Valencia and Liverpool and welcomed speculation of a move to Scotland while working as a pundit for Sky Sports.
“It’s good to be connected and joined with this level of club,” he said.
“Glasgow (Rangers) is a club with a great history behind (it) and it’s always great to be joined.”
