PARTICK THISTLE midfielder Ryan Edwards could be set to earn his first senior cap for Australia after being called up for the Socceroos' World Cup qualifiers.
The 23-year-old has represented his country at Under-20 and Under-23 level, but is yet to feature for the senior side.
Australia head coach Ange Postecoglou has called the Jags man into his 30-man squad for games against Iraq and the United Arab Emirates after a season in which he has been a regular performer for the Firhill club, making 34 appearances.
The Socceroos are currently unbeaten in Group B of the AFC Third Round, but sit behind Japan and Saudi Arabia in the six-team qualifying table after being held to a surprise draw by Thailand last time out.
Celtic's Tom Rogic has failed to make the squad through injury, but former Ross County midfielder Jackson Irvine is included.
