CELTIC are working towards strengthening their squad on deadline day, assistant manager Chris Davies has confirmed.

The Hoops have been linked with moves for a striker and a centre-back on the final day of business, with the window closing at midnight on Thursday.

Paris Saint-Germain youngster Odsonne Edouard is understood to be the target of a loan move and Davies told the Hoops' official website that work is being done to get deals completed before the deadline.

“It’s quite late on the window but we are still working away on one or two possibilities but there is nothing definitive in terms of the number of players,” he said.

“The club are still working hard to see if there is anything more we can do and if there is something right for us, it will be done.”
