WITH several Celtic talents plying their trade away from Parkhead this season, we take a look at how they fared over the weekend.
Scottish Premiership
Ryan Christie (Aberdeen)
A spectacular goalkeeping performance from Joe Lewis ensured Aberdeen left the capital with a draw against Hearts. Christie caused the Jambos problems early on but his influence waned as the home side grew into the game.
Scott Allan (Dundee)
It was an afternoon to forget for the midfielder, who was substituted in the first half as his side were comfortably beaten 4-1 by Rangers at Ibrox.
Jamie Lindsay (Ross County)
After being taken off before the break against Rangers last time out, Lindsay was dropped to the bench by Jim McIntyre for County’s 1-1 draw against Partick Thistle and failed to make an appearance.
Scottish Championship
Joe Thomson (Livingston)
Thomson was left out of Livi’s squad for the 2-2 home draw with Queen of the South on Saurday. The point saw David Hopkin’s side stay in sixth place thanks to Dylan Mackin’s late equaliser.
Sam Wardrop (Dumbarton)
Wardrop played 90 minutes as Dumbarton drew 1-1 at Tannadice against Dundee United. They remain in eighth spot in the Championship but are yet to record a win this season.
English League One
Nadir Ciftci (Plymouth Argyle)
The 25-year-old made his third appearance for Derek Adams’ side at the weekend, but it was a third defeat in a row as they were beaten 1-0 by Robbie Neilson’s MK Dons thanks to a goal from former Celt Aidan Nesbitt.
Ciftci was unlucky not to open his account when his 25 yard free-kick cannoned back off the crossbar before goalkeeper Lee Nicholls denied him while one-on-one. The striker was replaced with 20 minutes remaining.
