SHEFFIELD United defender Ben Heneghan has hinted at a return to Motherwell with a cryptic social media post.
The centre-back impressed for the Steelmen last season after joining from Chester and earned a move to the English Championship side in August.
However, the 24-year-old has failed to make a single appearance for the Blades this season and suggested a return to Fir Park could be on the cards on Instagram.
Heneghan posted a picture of him celebrating in a Motherwell kit and captioned the image with an egg timer emoji.
The Englishman made seven appearances for Motherwell at the start of the season in the Premiership and Betfred Cup before completing his move south, scoring against Rangers on the opening day of the campaign.
He was an ever-present for the club in 2016/17, making 43 appearances in all competitions.
