CHRIS Erskine says he is embarrassed to have been nominated for Partick Thistle's player of the year award and wants the prize to be scrapped.
The Jags opened voting on Wednesday with Erskine, Conor Sammon, Blair Spittal and Tomas Cerny making the shortlist.
However, the 31-year-old took to social media to hit out at the club for holding the ballot while they sit rooted to the bottom of the Ladbrokes Premiership table.
Genuinely embarrassed to be nominated for this. With the season we have had, the POTY for the first team should be scrapped

Thistle are without a win since 27 January and currently sit one point behind Ross County in last place ahead of the post-split fixtures.
Alan Archibald's side, who achieved a top-six finish last season, face Hamilton Accies at Firhill on Saturday as they look to get their season back on track.
