THERE have been very few people here talking up the prospect of Steven Gerrard as Rangers manager.
But, I have to say, I think it is a really exciting move for the club, and for Scottish football.
Yes, there is a risk involved in hiring a 37-year-old that has no managerial experience.
But every appointment carries a risk and there are no surefire things.
Gerrard is one of the biggest names in the game, not just in England, and his arrival is a huge boost to the Premiership’s profile.
We don’t know how it is going to work out but it is certainly a bold move, for both parties, and I can’t wait to see what happens at Ibrox.
