GORDON: As expected, made the game after missing recent weeks with a knee injury. The Scotland internationalist had one fingertip save over the bar from Curtis Main just after the restart and would have been relieved to see Gael Bigirimana's free-kick clip his crossbar in the late stages. (6)

LUSTIG: Got forward when he could in support and was responsible for the ball into the box that ultimately led to McGregor’s opening goal. (7)

BOYATA: Booked for a foul on Chris Cadden in the latter stages of the game as Motherwell tried to force their way back into the encounter.

AJER: Involved in an early battle with Curtis Main but found his composure as the game wore on. Always keen to get forward and particularly in the opening half was as visible in Motherwell's half as he was in his own. (7)

TIERNEY: Took a whack when the game was still in its infancy and it set the tone for his day; on the end of a number of crude tackles as the game progressed. Deployed more as a wing-back than left-back and put in his trademark shift on the flank. (7)

FORREST: Tried his luck with one effort early in the second period but the ball seemed to stick under his boot. Has had a fabulous season and a fitting way to round it off but has looked shattered in recent weeks. Deserved his applause as he made way for Scott Sinclair in the last minute of the game. (7)

MCGREGOR: Rounded off what has been an impressive season with a goal befitting of the occasion. Showed great technique to bring the ball under control before sending a ferocious right-footed half volley into the net. Deserves to take his place in the club’s history after an outstanding campaign. (9)

BROWN: Efficient shift sitting as a deep lying midfielder which allowed Ntcham to go forward and add to Celtic's numbers in attack. Worked his socks off defensively and marshalled Celtic quietly but effectively throughout. Topped off a fine campaign. (8)

ROGIC: Fresh from his five-year contract, the Australian strolled through the game. Took a hefty head knock at one stage but was fine to carry on. Replaced as the game wore on and no repeat of last season's drama. Not that there was any requirement for it given how dominant Celtic were for much of it. (7)

NTCHAM: Took his goal fabulously well with a raking effort that pretty much tied the ribbons the cup for the Parkhead side. Acrobatic celebrations were every bit as impressive as his strike. (8)

DEMBELE: Tremendous shift and a real handful for Motherwell to cope with. Involved in so much in the final third. Had his back to goal when he laid off Ntcham for his goal and could well have had a penalty on the hour mark when he was clearly hauled back. Came close with a header. (9)

ARMSTRONG: Took over Rogic in the second period. One superb pass through to Dembele in the final minute that put the Frenchman through on goal. (6)

SIMUNOVIC: On for the final stages of the game and almost caught out with a Bowman header which was just missed by Elliot Frear. (4)

SINCLAIR: Arrived onto the park for the final minute of regulation time. One mazy run forward but not quick enough to get the ball through to the waiting Dembele. (4)
