Here's how the Rangers players fared in their 3-1 win over Hearts.

ALLAN MCGREGOR Had little to do in the first half as Hearts rarely threatened and Ikpeazu and Wighton couldn’t trouble him. Made a terrific reaction block from a Wighton header after the break but was denied a clean sheet as MacLean headed home. 7

JAMES TAVERNIER Another accomplished performance in both halves of the park from the Rangers captain. Dealt with the threat of Mulraney easily and was even more effective going forward. 7

CONNOR GOLDSON Untroubled by what little Hearts could throw at him on a comfortable afternoon for the stopper. Distribution was decent and can be pleased with his efforts and another victory. 7

NIKOLA KATIC Found himself tasked with handling the giant frame of Ikpeazu and he coped well with the physical encounter. His passing wasn’t as impressive, though, and the Croatian was slack in possession at times. Clinched the win by converting Candeias’ cross at the back post. 7

JON FLANAGAN Has made the most of his chance since coming back into the team against Hearts at Ibrox and this was another solid showing at left-back. Strong in the tackle and never really troubled. 7

STEVEN DAVIS Midfielder has to finish the season strongly and he kept up his fine recent form here. Comfortable in possession and helped Rangers control the middle of the park. 7

RYAN JACK Wasn’t exactly renowned for his goal scoring before this season but he got his fourth of the campaign with a neat finish late in the first half after starting the move with a strong tackle. 8

GLEN KAMARA Turned in what has become a typical performance in midfield now. Always available for the ball and didn’t waste it when he got it. Had a hand in the opener as he set Defoe clear and helped Rangers see it out in the second half. 8

SCOTT ARFIELD Seems to be relishing his role playing slightly further forward and impressed once again. Should have done better with a low shot in the first half and had a couple of openings in the second. More than played his part on a pleasing afternoon for the Gers. 7

DANIEL CANDEIAS Popped up across the Gers forward line and worked well in tandem with Arfield. Picked out Katic with a terrific cross as the Croatian made it 3-0. Could have made it 4-0 with a header that Zlamal saved. 7

JERMAIN DEFOE Didn’t see a lot of the ball in the first half but he showed his class when he did as he gave Rangers the lead with a clinical finish. Should have doubled his tally when through in the second half but led the line well once again. 7

GLENN MIDDLETON (for Candeias) Winger has been in fine form for the Under-20s in recent weeks and that was rewarded with a late cameo here. 4

KYLE LAFFERTY (for Defoe) Given a hostile welcome by the home support on his return to Tynecastle but had few chances to get involved in the closing stages. 3

MATT POLSTER (for Davis) Made his Rangers debut as he replaced Davis for the final five minutes. 2
