RANGERS youngster Josh McPake will commit his future to Ibrox next week when he puts pen-to-paper on a new deal until 2023.
The forward has emerged as one of the most promising up-and-coming talents within the youth ranks at the Hummel Training Centre over the last few years.
He was a mainstay of the Under-20s side that won the Development League and Youth Cup last term and had been attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool and Roma in recent times.
But Rangers have now won the battle to hold onto McPake as he gets set to hand boss Steven Gerrard another boost this summer after a productive transfer window for the 39-year-old that has seen him sign up seven players.
The Scotland youth international has been training with the Light Blues squad at their base in Portugal this week as Gerrard prepares for the new campaign.
An agreement has now been reached over a long-term deal and McPake will sign on the dotted line after Rangers fly back from the Algarve as he looks to continue his progress in the coming season.
