RANGERS midfielder Ross McCrorie has joined Portsmouth on a loan deal until the end of the campaign.
The 21-year-old will spend the coming term at Fratton Park as Pompey bid for promotion to the Championship.
McCrorie has fallen behind summer arrivals Steven Davis and Joe Aribo in recent weeks and Portsmouth have an option to buy at the end of the loan.
Sunderland made a last-minute move to try and land McCrorie from their League One rivals but the Ibrox kid was impressed with what he heard from boss Jackett and is poised to play a key role south of the border in the coming months.
