Arsenal abandon plans to sign Kieran Tierney

Arsenal have abandoned their plans to try and sign Kieran Tierney after they failed in another attempt to sign the 22-year-old fullback. According to Alison McConnell in The Evening Times, there was another multi-layered bid made on Monday for Tierney from the English Premier League side but Celtic rejected the deal that would have been paid in various instalments. Rangers receive £250k for Candeias 

Rangers received a £250,000 fee from Genclerbirligi for winger Daniel Candeias, who completed his switch to Turkey yesterday. The fee remains undisclosed but The Sun are reporting it is around £250,000. (The Sun

Rangers could be forced to pay Mike Ashley's Sports Direct company millions of pounds in their long-running High Court fight over merchandise rights. Rangers' bid to limit any potential damages to only a £1m payout if the ruling went against them was also dismissed by Judge Persey (Daily Record)
