Celtic and Rangers' European opponents have been handed a major boost ahead of this week's qualifiers - having both notched impressive victories in their respective leagues.
Dan Petrescu's CFR Cluj outfit comfortably strolled past Hermannstadt at Stadionul Dr. Constantin Rădulescu in a 3-0 victory to remain at the top of Liga I.
Alexandru Paun, Valentin Costache and Billel Omrani all scored as the Romanians warmed up for their second-leg at Parkhead in style.
Gers' opponents FC Midtjylland won away from home at Horsens in the Danish league thanks to a double from Sory Kaba.
The Guinea international is on hot-form after scoring against Rangers in the Light Blues' 4-2 victory away from home.
However it will seemingly take a miracle if the Danes are to make it through to the final round of qualifiers after shipping four away goals.

Meanwhile Aberdeen will have been delighted with their Croatian opponents' result at the weekend as HNK Rijeka crashed to a 2-0 defeat to HNK Gorica.
The latter scored once in each half to win three points - giving the Dons confidence ahead of their tie this week.
Rijeka beat Derek McInnes' men 2-0 in the first-leg but have given the Scottish club hope that they can turn the tide.
