Ex-Hibs star Jamie Insall has branded Kilmarnock "terrible" and tipped his former employers to sail past them in the Betfred Cup quarter-finals.

Jamie Insall starred for Connah's Quay as they knocked Killie out of the Europa League earlier this season in a shock upset.

The striker, 27, had a hand in the Nomads' penalty at Rugby Park when Angelo Alessio's men crashed out of the tournament.

After Killie were drawn against Hibs at home in the next round of the cup, Insall aimed a jibe at the Ayrshire outfit on social media.

Posting a snap of himself celebrating, Insall wrote: "Don’t worry hibs drawing Kilmarnock in the cup they are terrible".

His post racked up thousands of likes and shares.

One commented: "Top trolling, 10/10."

A fourth joked: "I love you".

Others weren't so happy with the "disrespect" shown by Insall, who counts East Fife among his ex-clubs.

One said: "We actually ever going to hear the end of this?"

Another added: "This won't go wrong at all."
