Kilmarnock have slapped a £3million price tag on defender Greg Taylor amid interest from Celtic, according to reports.
The Hoops are on the lookout for a player to compete with Boli Bolingoli for the starting jersey.
And they’ve been linked with Taylor for most of the summer.
Killie boss Angelo Alessio has made it clear he doesn’t want Taylor leaving the club any time soon, however, and recently issued a hands-off warning to Celts over Taylor.
Now, according to Daily Record, the Italian has made his desperation to hold onto Taylor even clearer by sticking the multi-million quid tag on the player.
Neil Lennon spent £3.5million on Bolingoli and the Hoops board still have plenty of the £25million Kieran Tierney kitty still remaining.
However whether they’ll choose to splash out on Taylor remains to be seen - though Killie hope the cash value puts the champions off.
Meanwhile Killie right-back Stephen O’Donnell - also a reported target for Celtic - is still to sign a new deal at Kilmarnock with his contract up at the end of the season.
