Stevie May's move to St Johnstone is back ON.
Aberdeen striker May, 26, has been at the centre of interest from the Saints most of the summer.
Manager Tommy Wright has not hid his interest in the striker as the pair previously worked together at St Johnstone back in 2013/14.
Liam Craig: We’d love to have Stevie May back at McDiarmid Park
The move - as late as last week - looked dead as Derek McInnes' side knocked back a loan offer.
It is understood the boss wants May off his wage bill completely and would rather sanction a permanent move.
Aberdeen have Sam Cosgrove, Curtis Main and James Wilson all above May in the pecking order.
But according to sources, the move looks back on and could be done before the end of the transfer window.
