Rangers loan kid Stephen Kelly scored a tremendous volley for Ayr United as the Honest Men beat Queen of the South in the Championship on Saturday.

The youngster, 19, wrapped his foot around the ball brilliantly to hand his side the win and take them to joint second in the league.

Kelly recently joined Ayr in a bid to play games after spending a lot of time at Gers with their academy outfit.

It's not the first time the playmaker has scored a belter after recently bagging himself a beautiful free-kick against Stranraer in the Betfred Cup.

We told how Kelly is an old-head on young shoulders and understands completely the benefit of his loan move to Somerset Park.

He said: "It was the manager's decision to advise the loan and he just wants me to go and get the games and to contribute with goals and assists.

"I want to be the best player in training every day and we will see where I am when I come back next year.

"When you are there and you are building and you feel you are close, it can get frustrating. But I am going to go and get games and that is the best thing for me at this stage."
