Both sides have to manoeuvre through Europa Leagues ties before the big one in Scottish football.
Steven Gerrard's men have another home tie against Legia Warsaw on Thursday while Celtic must travel to Sweden to see off AIK after a 2-0 home lead from the first-leg.
