Rangers' Allan McGregor has been branded Besiktas' worst goalkeeper of the past 20 years.

Turkish media have given the ex-Premier League stopper the unwanted accolade after his one season at the club.

The analysis, undertaken by Sabah, looked at goals conceded per minute.

McGregor allowed a goal past him every 60 minutes - outdoing current Besiktas number one Loris Karius by one minute.

The Scotland cap spent just one season in Istanbul in 2012 before departing for Hull City in England.

He went on to spend five years at the KC Stadium where he finished runner up in the 2014 FA Cup Final - beaten 3-2 by Arsenal.

Gers favourite McGregor returned to Ibrox in 2018 under Steven Gerrard after an initial spell between 2001 and 2012.

He has since re-established himself as number one at Rangers and was named in last season's PFA Team of the Year.
