RANGERS heading to Switzerland this week brings back memories of my first two, and my only two, red cards for the club.
One came against Zurich and one came against Young Boys. We played them both within a few months of each other and I was back in the bath before everyone else on both occasions unfortunately.
Both of them were for the same thing basically. After a challenge, their players tried to pick me up and tried to grab my shirt.

But they took a bit of skin as well. I was a slim lad but they still grabbed me and I tried to get them away and the referee, on both occasions, sent me off.
You would have thought I would have learned from the first game! For it to happen again was unfortunate, and for it to happen twice in Switzerland so close together was quite strange.
I didn’t get involved in things like that too often but it didn’t cost us against Young Boys thankfully as a 2-2 draw followed a 1-0 home win. We did lose 2-1 on aggregate to Zurich unfortunately.
