NICK HAMMOND is set to be named as Celtic's permanent head of recruitment, according to reports.
Hammond, 52, joined Neil Lennon's backroom staff on an interim basis this summer but is set to be handed the role on a permanent basis, according to the Scottish Sun.
Celtic were without a head of recruitment after Lee Congerton followed Brendan Rodgers to Leicester City earlier this year and now the Scottish Sun are reporting that Hammond is "on the verge" of landing the job permanently.

Celtic were busy in the summer transfer window and brought in no fewer than 11 new players to bolster Lennon's squad as the champions aim for a ninth title in a row.
And Celtic chief Peter Lawwell has reportedly been impressed with Hammond's work so much that he wants to hand the former Reading man a long-term deal to tie him to the Parkhead club.
