RANGERS are set to tie down keeper Allan McGregor on a new contract as he closes in on an automatic extension to his deal.
The 37-year-old's current terms are due to expire at the end of the campaign but a clause in the agreement could be activated before the winter break in January.
Boss Steven Gerrard revealed a deal for Ryan Jack is 'imminent' and is pleased to have McGregor around for the long-term as well.

Gerrard said: “Allan’s is pretty self-explanatory. If Allan plays a certain amount of games then a year kicks in anyway, so there’s a bit of information for you. Watch this space with Allan.
"He is in a good place, in good form and we expect him to be here next year. That is never in doubt."
