CELTIC must be wary of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic according to Alex Rae, Ryan Jack has signed a new long-term deal at Ibrox and Fraser Forster is hoping to get back into the England team while on loan at Celtic.

Forster targets England recall

Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster, who is on loan at the club from Premier League outfit Southampton, is hoping to regain his place in the England set-up by impressing in the club's Europa League campaign. "I’d love to be a part of the England squad," he said. "It all comes down to me performing the best I can, whether it’s Europa League or in the league."

Jack signs contract extension

Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack has signed a new deal at Ibrox that will keep him tied to the club until 2023. Jack said: "I’m over the moon and I’m looking forward to the future now. With the length of contract the club has given me, I hope to repay that in the next three-and-a-half years."

Frimpong: I was racially abused as an 11-year-old

Celtic defender Jeremie Frimpong has revealed that he suffered racial abuase as a child at a youth tournament in Italy. Frimpong, who was playing for Manchetser City at the time, said: "I went to a tournament in Italy and their fans were making monkey chants but I tried not to let it bother me. It is a game of football, what has the colour of my skin got to do with it? I am just kicking the ball, what makes you so angry?"

Candeias reveals Gerrard admiration

Portuguese winger Daniel Candeias, who left Rangers this summer after a two-year spell in Govan, has spoken of the admiration he feels for his former manager Steven Gerrard. "Gerrard is on his way to being a great coach, in the image of what he was as a player," said Candeias. "He intervenes when the game asks, not like the ones who fight on the sideline, he talks to the players at the right time."

Rae warns Celtic about Milinkovic-Savic

Celtic will need to keep a close eye on Lazio's Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic when the two sides meet in the Europa League, according to former Rangers midfielder Alex Rae. Rae coached the 24-year-old when he was Alex McLeish's assistant at Genk and admitted that Milinkovic-Savic always stood out from a young age. He told the Scottish Sun: "Sergej was just a young boy when we joined but he had tremendous potential. He had a laser shot and you wouldn’t want to give him too much time and space from distance. The power he had was unbelievable."

McCall responds to Caldwell claims

Partick Thistle manager Ian McCall has responded to claims made by his predecessor Gary Caldwell, who claimed that he had to 'change the culture' of the playing squad at Firhill. McCall said: "There were a lot of players low on confidence, there's no doubt about that, and our job was to try and give them confidence. I think there are good players (here). We're only two points off the top four and we only had two points when we arrived."
