Gordon Strachan has opened up on his role as Dundee's technical director.
Former Celtic boss Strachan took over as chief at Dens Park earlier this year and has regularly made himself available to manager James McPake for advice.
That's where his input in the first-team ends as his main role involves working with the stars of the future.
"I am a technical director," Strachan told BT Sport.
"Some people use that role to get involved in signings, transfers and team selections.
"I don't, I work with the kids and the 19s which is my remit.
"I give James advice when he needs it but I'm not at [first-team] training.
"I work with coaches for the younger players."
