The League Cup final kick-off time has been announced.

The match will start at 3pm on Sunday, December 8.

Old Firm rivals Celtic and Rangers will go head to head for the first trophy of the season at Hampden.

Celtic sealed their place with a 5-2 victory over Hibernian where Mohamed Elyounoussi, Callum McGregor and Scott Brown added to the scoresheet last weekend.

Rangers’ 3-0 win over Hearts on Sunday cemented their place in the final with Alfredo Morelos scoring a double and Filip Helander netting a goal.

Steven Gerrard will be aiming for a win going into his first cup final as Rangers manager, but he’ll be up against a strong Celtic side who will be looking to seal ten trophies in a row.
