THE run of fixtures Rangers have between now and the winter break is huge. In Europe, in the Premiership and in the Betfred Cup, there are games that offer the players the chance to become heroes at Ibrox.
It is over the next few weeks where you will see the importance of the squad coming through for Steven Gerrard.
When you play as many matches, everyone will get their chance and everyone will need to contribute to the team.
There will be players disappointed that they aren’t in the side regularly but their opportunity will come.
You win as a team and you lose as a team. Every individual is part of that squad that all has to be pushing in the one direction.
Steven has to strike the balance between European games and domestic games and he has done that well so far.
If he gets that right over the next few weeks, Rangers could be in a great position going into the second half of the season and hopefully they will have a trophy by then as well.
