Kieran Tierney already has a reputation of being somewhat of a hardman with Arsenal supporters.

The left-back, though, has added to that this afternoon by bearing the sub-temperatures at training in just his shorts and T-shirt.

Teammates showed up for Unai Emery's session in thermal gloves, hats and snood scarves while others wore trousers.

But fans of the Gunners have both praised and ridiculed KT on social media for his decision to brave the cold - with some failing to understand how the player can handle the icy weather.

One said: "Kieran Tierney out training at half time in the freezing rain in just shorts and t-shirt 🥶".

Another wrote: "More training pictures out today, all the lads in thermal gear, hats, gloves the works.

"Then there is Kieran Tierney in shorts and a t-shirt..."

One commented: "Kieran Tierney vs the rest of the squad in the freezing weather", accompanied by a picture from The Simpsons where they're freezing in the snow.

Tierney hit headlines earlier this week when he revealed the four Arsenal players he's struck a bond with - and the staffers at the Emirates who have helped him settle due to their Celtic connections.

He told Pro Direct Soccer: "Because I’ve been injured and Bellerin was injured and Big Dino as well, I’ve been close with them.

"Hector is a big voice in the changing room as well so he’s helped me settle in. Rob Holding and Calum Chambers as well have looked after me.

"There’s a few Scottish staff as well – Celtic fans – so they’ve helped me settle in and make me feel at home."
