DECEMBER will be a very busy - and potentially definitive - month for Rangers. Steven Gerrard's side have a demanding fixture schedule, playing eight matches in the space of 29 days, including their final Europa League group stage fixture and this Sunday's League Cup final.

Before all that though, there is still the small matter of the Premiership to deal with; specifically, a trip to Pittodrie to face their rivals Aberdeen.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of the midweek fixture.

Where is the match being played?

The game will go ahead at Pittodrie.

What time is kick-off?

The match is scheduled to get under way at 7:45pm.

Is it on TV?

Yes. Sky Sports Football will be broadcasting the match live, with their coverage beginning at 7pm. Alternatively, you can join us here where we'll be covering the match via our live blog.

What are the pre-match odds?

The visitors are the heavy favourites to leave the Granite City with all three points, with most bookies offering odds of around 1/2 for a Rangers win. But if you fancy Derek McInnes' Dons to pull off an upset, they can be backed at around 5/1.

What's the latest team news?

Given the Ibrox club's demanding fixture schedule, we can probably expect to see Gerrard make a few changes. Jermain Defoe is expected to be fit once again after coming off the bench against Hearts on Sunday and could start in order to give Alfredo Morelos a rest, while Greg Stewart's double at Ibrox on Sunday could be enough to convince Gerrard to hand him a start against his old club.

Aberdeen's squad is just about back to full fitness, although central midfielder Funso Ojo is still out with a long-term injury. Summer signing Craig Bryson's rehabilitation is ongoing and the 33-year-old could feature - his last appearance for the Dons came against Ross County at the start of November.
