Celtic Women are on the lookout for a new manager after Eddie Wolecki Black left the club this week.

The former Glasgow City and Airdrie head coach departed after 18 months in the role.

Black helped the Hoops to third place two seasons in a row in the Scottish Women's Premier League, losing out on second to Hibs on goal difference this season.

Rangers further invest in their women's team by sanctioning move to semi-professional status

Wolecki Black told the club's official website: ‘I have enjoyed my time immensely with the club and I wish the players and everyone at Celtic the very best for the future.

"I am now looking forward to taking on some new challenges but will always make sure I follow the Celtic women’s team.

"I hope the team at Celtic can go on and achieve some great success in the future."

Celtic’s Commercial Director, Adrian Filby added: “We would like to thank Eddie for his contribution to the club.

"During his successful tenure, he has undoubtedly improved the standard and mindset of the first team, as recent results against all of our domestic rivals demonstrates.

“Importantly, Eddie leaves us with excellent foundations to build upon ahead of the exciting, next chapter for the women’s team in 2020 and with our very best wishes for success in his future endeavours.”

The circumstances surrounding Wolecki Black's departure are not yet known.
