Chelsea are considering a move for Moussa Dembele after their transfer ban was lifted, according to reports.

Former Celtic striker Dembele has netted ten times in his 22 games this season.

He was recently linked with a move to Manchester United as Olé Gunnar Solskjaer prepares to strengthen his firepower at Old Trafford.

Now, though, the Daily Mail are reporting that Frank Lampard has had the Frenchman watched by scouts.

Competition is needed for Chelsea's first-choice striker Tammy Abraham with Olivier Giroud seemingly set for a move out of Stamford Bridge.

Neil Lennon's Hoops could then be in line for a cash windfall thanks to a sell-on clause in the players' contract after his £20million move to Lyon last year.

The Swiss-based Court of Arbitration recently overturned The Blues' transfer ban meaning they can sign players in January.
