And the attacker has found it difficult going from the first name on the team sheet in his first two seasons to a bit-part player the latter stages.

Not one to shy away from a challenge, Sinclair wants to continue to fight for a spot in the Celtic starting XI.

But he accepts he may have to move on to regain his love for the game and add to his playing time on the pitch.

He told Mail on Sunday: "I just want to play, everyone who knows me is aware of that.

"I haven't really spoken to the manager about leaving. If it was my choice, I would love to stay and fight for a position.

"But this season has been tough.

"I want to play football. I want to enjoy my football again."
