ALFREDO MORELOS is set to miss Rangers’ next three domestic matches after being sent off during the win over Celtic on Sunday.

The striker picked up two yellow cards in the closing stages of the Old Firm clash as he was dismissed for the second time this term.

Morelos was booked by referee Kevin Clancy for a foul on Scott Brown before he was penalised for diving after spurning a chance to make it 3-1 to the Gers late on.

The 23-year-old will miss the Scottish Cup tie against Stranraer as a result of a ban from last term and he will then sit out the visit of St Mirren the following midweek.

A second match will be added to his suspension as a result of his sending off against Motherwell earlier this month and it is understood that will rule him out of the Jambos clash on January 26.

Compliance Officer Clare Whyte could still take action against Morelos for his ‘throat-slitting’ gesture as he made his way off the park, although that is not part of the Fast Track process at Hampden.

And Clancy’s report will be studied to determine if further action should be taken against Michael Beale after he was sent off for an altercation involving Celtic coach John Kennedy at the final whistle.
