PARTICK THISTLE have completed the signing of Brian Graham from Ross County.

The 32-year-old is Thistle's fifth addition this month, following the signings of Zak Rudden, Darian MacKinnon and loan duo Jamie Barjonas and Lee O'Connor.

Graham, who counts Dundee United, St Johnstone and Hibs among his former employers, scored four goals in 18 Premiership appearances for County this season and a further two in the League Cup.

The striker was part of the County team that won the League Cup in 2016 and scored five goals during Hibernian's Championship-winning season in 2016/17.

Upon returning to Dingwall after a spell at Cheltenham Town, Graham scored eight times in 30 league appearances last season as County won the Championship and secured their return to top-flight football.

The club announced today he was joining on a two-and-a-half year deal on an undisclosed fee.

Thistle manager Ian McCall said: “We have been working with a clear plan throughout this transfer window to build a side for the long term without taking an eye off the short term.

"There are five or six sides in the Championship who are in a relegation battle at the moment along with us so we have to, first and foremost, make sure we don’t drop out of this league, while at the same time start to build for the future.

"We’re still looking to add to the squad before the end of January with one or two more, hopefully.

“I’m thrilled to add Brian to the squad for the rest of this season and beyond. He is a proven goalscorer at both Championship and Premiership level and has been someone I have been chasing for quite a while.

“Jamie Barjonas is a player for the short term but he is a very talented young midfielder that we are looking forward to working with.

"Lee O’Connor is another great addition to our squad and he strengthens the right back area of the side. He’s a senior internationalist already, despite only being 19 and is very highly rated.”
