CELTIC manager Neil Lennon says that Olivier Ntcham is going nowhere after reports in France yesterday linked the midfielder with a move to West Ham.

Ntcham scored the opening goal as Celtic cruised to a 3-0 win over St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park last night, leaving his manager purring over his performance.

And Lennon was quick to pour cold water on any prospect of the 23-year-old leaving Celtic during this transfer window, saying that he is integral to his plans.

“It’s nonsense,” said Lennon. “He’s not going anywhere.

“The last thing I want is good players going out the door. If anything, I want to get players in, but it’s a tough thing to do.

“I had a joke with Olivier after the game asking him if he was doing that for the cameras, putting himself out there.

“He’s played so well for me and I thought he was terrific. Not just his goal but his all-round game.

“As far as I’m concerned he’s not going anywhere.”

Lennon also dismissed suggestions that goalkeeper Craig Gordon was on his way out of the club amid reported interest from Hearts, although he did concede that the 37-year-old was looking for more regular game-time.

“That’s just speculation,” he said.

“Craig wants to play obviously with the Euros in mind, but he’s such an important part of the squad here that we don’t want to let him go.”

In fact, Lennon doesn’t want to see any of his players leave before Friday night, with nothing in the pipeline at the moment in terms of outgoings.

“Not at the minute as far as I know,” he said. “I’ll be guided by Peter and Nick Hammond on it, but at the minute there’s absolutely nothing happening.”

As far as incomings are concerned, Lennon feels that there is unlikely to be any further new arrivals.

“You never say never but it’s a very difficult time so there’s no guarantees either way,” he said. “We’ll see.”
