Fraser Forster 6
One easy stop from Michael O’Halloran in the opening period and a decent stop from David Wotherspoon in the latter stages of the game but barely muddied his gloves.

Jozo Simunovic 6
Quiet night for the Croatian who had little to do in an opening period which Celtic dominated. Did not emerge for the second period as he seemed to pick up an injury.

Christopher Jullien 6
The central figure in the back three system that Celtic have deployed in recent games. Rarely troubled given the manner in which the Parkhead side had St Johnstone under the cosh from the opening seconds but one slack pass out of defence that led to Wotherspoon’s chance.

Kristoffer Ajer 6
Controlled display at the back with ample opportunity to roam forward as he likes to do.
James Forrest 8

Architect of one and scorer of another. Teed up Ntcham early doors and then doubled Celtic’s advantage on the 20-minute mark. A constant source of torment all evening.

Olivier Ntcham 7
Headed Celtic in front after just six minutes and put in a dominant performance in the middle of the park.

Scott Brown 7
Might as well have called for his pipe and slippers. Strolled through the game without ever being troubled in the central pastures.

Callum McGregor 7
Typical performance in the middle of the park as he hustled and harried and got the ball forward.

Greg Taylor 7
The fullback’s absence from Celtic’s starting XI has been questioned at times with the former Kilmarnock player struggling to nail down a regular place. Capped a decent performance with the cross that led to Griffiths’ goal.

Odsonne Edouard 7
Linked well with Leigh Griffiths as Neil Lennon went for a front two. Dragged one effort just wide of the target but worked his socks off.

Leigh Griffiths 7
Fine half-volley to add the third of the night and looks sharper with every game as he builds towards a return to peak fitness and form. Confidence returning to his overall play.

Moritz Bauer 6
Took over from Simunovic at the interval and slotted in on the right-hand side.

Mikey Johnston 5
Replaced Leigh Griffiths midway through the second period but evening ended with him hobbling off after taking a kick on his knee.

Patryk Klimala 6
On for the last ten minutes of regulation time as he came on for Edouard. Almost nabbed a late goal when he reached to connect with a Taylor cross at the back post. At the other end was alert enough to clear a late St Johnstone effort off the line.
