Celtic fans were convinced they heard BBC commentator Liam McLeod describe Odsonne Edouard as "taking the p***" during their side's win over Hamilton.

The broadcaster was working for Sportscene on the Hoops' 4-1 victory at FoY Stadium last weekend when the apparent flub happened.

With the game in the dying seconds, Edouard took control from a pass and slid the ball into James Forrest to seal the win - but that's where supporters misheard his words.

McLeod said: "Lovely dummy from Edouard to Griffiths and now it's back with Forrest". But some were quick to question the commentator - and wondered what it was, exactly, was said.

Posting footage of the clip, one fan wrote: "Commentator defo says "taking the p***" here," with two laughing emojis. The footage racked up more than 3,700 likes and over 450 shares. And others were sure they'd caught McLeod out.

One said: "Hahahha canny unhear that", another laughed: "That's absolutely hilarious".
