Former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers had his press conference interrupted at the weekend - by Chelsea boss Frank Lampard.

Rodgers' Leicester City hosted the Blues at King Power Stadium and managed to hold them to a 2-2 draw thanks to Harvey Barnes and Ben Chilwell.

In the aftermath of the draw - where Antonio Rudiger bagged a brace for the visitors - Rodgers was addressing the media to give his thoughts on the action and result. And that's when Lampard wandered into the press room to say cheerio to the Northern Irishman.

"Sorry, sorry, excuse me," Lampard said. "Brendan I've got to go, I'm shooting off I just didn't want to be rude."

The pair exchanged a handshake before Lampard added: "It's good to see you, all the best. Say hello to all of the team."

Sharing footage of the exchange on social media was popular football show Soccer AM who captioned it: "We love this from Frank Lampard. Interrupting the Leicester presser to say goodbye to Brendan Rodgers."

The post racked up thousands of likes and shares.
