Kieran Tierney has shared photos of himself back training with Arsenal as the countdown to Scotland's Nations League playoff clash with Israel begins.

The former Celtic left-back has been out injured for several months after dislocating his shoulder against West Ham back in December. The injury added to his bad luck as he had also been nursing a hernia issue as well as a groin problem as he bid to establish himself as Arsenal's first choice.

The club confirmed that their £25million signing from Parkhead had joined in light training previously but now it appears the player is ahead of schedule.

Posting pictures of himself training with manager Mikel Arteta and the Gunners first-team on Instagram, KT took part in his side's Dubai winter training camp.

The update comes as good news for Scotland and Steve Clarke who had been worried the defender may not be fit in time for the March 26 Hampden match. It is not yet known if Tierney will indeed be ready for the game, but his training regime provides a promising outlook.

Tierney, 22, had originally been scheduled to return to training in early March.
