Celtic youngster Leo Mazis has thanked the club for their support as he signed a deal with Italian side Triestina this week.
The Australian failed to make the grade at Parkhead despite impressing former manager Brendan Rodgers during a trial stint.
He had been training with the academy outfit after penning a three-year deal at Parkhead but never made a first-team appearance in green and white.
Posting on social media to confirm the switch, Mazis said: "Firstly i would like to say thanks to everyone at @celticfc for the support these last two years, it’s been a pleasure. But I am excited and ready for the next chapter at @u.s.triestinacalcio1918 ! Let’s get to work #ForzaUnione #LM19".
Former teammate Karamoko Dembele was one of the players to wish his pal luck. "I’m gonna [miss] my brother, all the best it’s been a pleasure".
Liam Burt added: "Well done ma man go smash it."
