Kerr, 50, was also quick to thank everyone from her career for challenging her and respecting her work during her time in football so far. "Honoured, humbled and extremely proud to celebrate years of challenging moments, hard work and breaking barriers to ensure football is a game for all," she tweeted.
"Thanks to football, my family, friends, the community of Polbeth and to everyone that has challenged me; you have been instrumental in defining my character. To all the boys and men that respected me for who I am and to the girls and women that continue to inspire me.
"This day is all about you."
