Rangers fans were left disappointed with their side's performance against Livingston earlier this afternoon - but were content to come away with three points.

Job done, then, for Steven Gerrard's men. Scott Arfield struck on the hour mark to give his team a 1-0 win and keep them as close to Celtic as possible, 10 points adrift in second.

But while a win was all they wanted, supporters inside Ibrox - and those following updates on social media - were not satisfied with the showing their players put in against Livi - who could have nicked a point at the death through Lyndon Dykes who clattered the post.

"We're nothing but an average spfl side!!!!!!!! Something needs to change," one blasted. Another added: "Horrible football but job done."

One fan said: "Well that was f***ing dreadful," before a fourth responded online to Rangers' twitter: "S*** but winning, I'll allow it."

Others were more optimistic given that their side had secured the points. One said: "Three points bagged, I'll settle for that this weekend. See you Thursday but I'll be expecting more from Rangers."

Another wrote: "Excellent 3 points, Bears," and a third said: "Hardly a fabulous result, still 3 points none the less though so it's an improvement".
