Ismaila Soro got his first run-out in a Celtic jersey for the Hoops academy side as they dismantled Aberdeen 4-0.

Ivorian Soro recently signed a four-and-a-half-year deal at Parkhead but is yet to feature for the first-team. Manager Neil Lennon has claimed he needs to improve his fitness levels having come from Bnei Yehuda without any real time to work in the gym.

But 45 minutes of game time with the young Celts under his belt will no doubt have done him the world of good as he aims to break into the starting lineup to rival captain Scott Brown, Callum McGregor and Olivier Ntcham for a place.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian Marian Shved also played in the match and scored. The former Karpaty Lviv winger had been tipped to make a splash for the Celtic first-team by Lennon before he was dropped from the Europa League squad for their last-32 clash with Copenhagen this week.

Cameron Harper, Karamoko Dembele, Shved and Armstrong Okoflex were all on target as Celtic battered the Dons. Barry Coffey was sent-off for the home side.
