Patryk Klimala bagged himself his first goal in green and white yesterday as Celtic academy romped to a 4-1 win over Hibs in the Reserve Cup semi-final.

The Polish striker struck the third Hoops goal of the afternoon with a delicate dink over Adam Bogdan to ultimately end the contest.

Klimala has featured sparingly so far since his move from Jagiellonia Białystok, playing just four times, three coming as a sub.

But Hoops fans will be pleased to see him get off the mark, albeit in a reserve clash, doing him no harm.

Former Bolton midfielder Luca Connell opened the scoring at Lennoxtown yesterday before Karamoko Dembele lashed in two stunners to win the game.

Jamie Gullan hit a consolation strike for the visitors before Fraser Murray was shown a red card for a challenge on Barry Coffey.

Another positive for Celtic and manager Neil Lennon would have been the 90 minutes for Hatem Elhamed at right-back. The Israeli has not played since Lazio away back in November.

Celtic’s youngsters will now play Aberdeen in the final after the Dons beat Motherwell 3-1.
