FORMER Celtic defender Jackie McNamara has been discharged from hospital after undergoing surgery for a suspected brain bleed.
The 46-year-old was rushed to hospital after collapsing at his home in York at the start of February and had to go under the knife for treatment.
But the former Partick Thistle and Dundee United boss has now been given the all-clear to be released - and is now home safe and sound.
Former Celtic team-mate and close pal Simon Donnelly told BBC's Off The Ball: "There's some great news, he got home.
"He has obviously been through the mill in the last three weeks since everything happened.
"But they have now deemed him fit enough to go home and I believe he had a Chinese takeaway last night.
"The signs are good. He's getting there, it's going to be a long recovery for him but he's getting there."
