Saturday’s much-anticipated Kelme Scottish Amateur Cup quarter-finals lived up to expectation. Storm Jorge also proved a formidable opponent, with three of the games played in horrendous conditions.

East Kilbride YM's clash with Tollcross Thistle, played indoors at the Ravenscraig Sports Centre in Motherwell, was the only game to avoid the fierce gales and driving rain that battered West Central Scotland.

Shortlees edged a thriller 3-2 against Sandys. The away side opened the scoring to lead at half-time. Shortlees equalised early in the second half before the home side nudged ahead for the first time in the afternoon. A Sandys leveller looked to have forced a replay until the home side hit a late winner.

Dundee’s Fintry led Drumchapel Amateurs 1-0 at half-time but the hosts sealed a 1-1 draw to set up a replay in Dundee next weekend.

Eastfield recorded a late win over Wishaw High School FP thanks to a thunderbolt in the dying minutes of the action.

Meanwhile, East Kilbride and Tollcross couldn't be separated in a six-goal thriller indoors at Ravenscraig. The replay will take place at Saughton Enclosure in Edinburgh next Saturday.

Quarter-final results:

Shortlees 3-2 Sandys

Drumchapel 1-1 Fintry

Wishaw HSFP 1-2 Eastfield
