Referee John Beaton will officiate Sunday's Old Firm
REFEREE John Beaton will take charge of this Sunday's Old Firm at Ibrox.
The last time the whistler was the man in the middle for the powderkeg derby was back in December 2018, where Ryan Jack scored the game's only goal as Steven Gerrard's side recorded a 1-0 win over their rivals in Govan.
Beaton was the subject of controversy after that match and was abused over the phone, and required a police escort to his next game when Ayr United took on Falkirk.
Beaton will be assisted by linesmen Douglas Ross and Alan Mulvanny, with Don Robertson fulfilling the role of fourth official.
